Vaiapraia is one of the most charismatic authors, interpreters and performers of his generation; for the direct and immediate vibrancy, for the astute dynamics of light and shadow in his work, with which he bends patterns, expands proportions, and rejects conclusions.

The third and brand new LP “Alegria Terminal” was released on digital platforms in a partnership between the collectives Maternidade and Tons To Tell, and will soon be available on vinyl in a limited edition. The album was born from the dust of domesticity, between the callousness of everyday life and the observation of the banal. It is simultaneously a narrated archive of what we experience and a half-hour escape from the inconveniences of being alive. With the sound that is already typical of a Vaiapraia LP - the fierce fuel of the percussion, the galloping bass lines, the colorful textures torn by the guitar and the harmonic bed of the keyboard - “Alegria Terminal” offers eleven pieces that form a puzzle assembled with rigorous personal criteria.

“Terminal Joy” offers a taste of effervescent substances that bring luminous exceptions to everyday life, as a possible cure, or an approach to the divine. It is as if the heat of rock and the hunting of the song were a stoic nudge to the boring decline of Western civilization.
